Can I change the order of my watchlist?

Yes. Tap Edit on the Watchlist tab and drag symbols by their handles.

How do I switch between percent and dollar changes?

Tap any change badge in the Watchlist, or choose Percent or Amount under Settings > Display.

How do I see candlesticks instead of a line?

About the data

Where do prices come from? Are they delayed?

Quotes and charts come from public market data and may be delayed by 15 minutes or more. They can differ slightly from your broker's quotes.

Where do the financial statements come from?

Revenue, operating income, net income, EPS, balance sheet and cash flow figures are taken from the structured XBRL data companies file with their 10-K and 10-Q reports on SEC EDGAR. They are shown as reported, without adjustments, so they can differ from the "adjusted" figures in earnings releases.

Why do some quarters have striped bars?

Companies usually don't file a separate report for their fourth fiscal quarter. When the full year and the first three quarters are available, captlmax computes the fourth quarter as the difference and marks it with stripes.

Why are financials missing for some symbols?

ETFs, funds and indices don't file company financial statements, so their pages show prices and filings only. Companies based outside the U.S. usually file an annual report rather than quarterly ones, so their quarterly figures may be missing; their numbers are shown in the currency they report in, such as euros or yen.

What do 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and Form 4 mean?

A 10-K is the annual report, a 10-Q is the quarterly report, an 8-K announces a significant event such as results or leadership changes, and a Form 4 reports an insider's change in holdings. The Form Guide (the ? button on the Filings tab) explains more forms.

Where do Treasury rates come from?

The yield curve uses the U.S. Department of the Treasury's daily par yield curve rates. History comes from FRED, the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis data service. Rates are usually updated after the close on business days.
